Founder’s note
I originally built UniTracks because I wanted something better for keeping track of my own degree. It started as a pretty simple grade calculator while I was studying Financial Maths at Cardiff, but over time I kept adding things I actually wanted to use myself. It’s grown into something much bigger than that now. I wanted students to be able to open one app and actually understand where they stand, what marks they need, what deadlines are coming up and what they should be focusing on, rather than having all of that spread across different apps, spreadsheets and university systems. The people I want to reach are really just students like me. I don’t want UniTracks to feel like another piece of university software; I want it to be something students genuinely choose to use because it makes their degree a bit easier to manage. There’s still loads I want to improve. I’ve learnt a huge amount building it alongside my degree, but I’m still learning and the app is constantly changing as I work out what students actually find useful. Long term I just want to keep making it better and see how far I can take it.
Spotlight note
UniTracks is an iOS app meant only for students. It lets you track deadlines, how much you need to ace an exam, your university schedule, lets you predict outcomes and what exam grades you can get. We really like this app, as it is a "all-in-one" service with a very clean UI, that can probably change your student experience if you use it, as it lets you calculate and predict almost everything. The only issue is that the UI might seem too "stacked" at times, and it is kind of hard to read information, but that is something that the founder can improve. Strong app.
